              <title><![CDATA[Richard Tuttle in the Annemarie Verna Galerie]]></title>
              <description><![CDATA[Samuel Beckett referred to commentaries on art as a calmative (S.B. Das Gleiche nochmals anders: Texte zur Bildenden Kunst, 2000). Richard Tuttle values talking about art. In his exhibitions, he likes to stand in front of his works and discuss them. His commentaries rebut and affirm the remark by Beckett by taking paradoxical detours and by confounding and disconcerting with their nuanced differentiation and detail. Whether direct pathways or circuitous detours, when Tuttle works and when he talks he is always in motion. The important thing is that walking such a fine line leads to uncharted territory. Whoever heads down this path does so at his own risk, for there are no guaranteed certainties.]]></description>

              <title><![CDATA[Swiss Art at Sotheby's Zurich]]></title>
              <description><![CDATA[On Monday, 14 June 2010, Sotheby’s in Zurich will be holding a spring auction under the
heading of ‘Swiss Art’ at its premises in Talstrasse 83. 114 works representing Swiss artistic creativity of the early 20th
century will come under the hammer. With an estimate of 13 million Swiss francs, the auction includes masterpieces by
57 artists, among them Ferdinand Hodler, Giovanni Giacometti and Cuno Amiet, a trio of leading representatives of the innovative and avant-garde style in 20th century Swiss art.

In its current exhibition, „…And God Created Woman“, the Zurich gallery LAST presents a wide cross-section of the posters and press photographs that helped define them and their generation. Works of art in themselves, most are rarely seen and all were originally produced for promotional purposes rather than sale.]]></description>
