              <title><![CDATA[Kunsthaus Zürich shows Salomon Gessner]]></title>
              <description><![CDATA[In an exhibition entitled ‘Idyll in an Obstructed Landscape’, to run from 26 February until 16 May 2010, the Kunsthaus Zürich presents the work of Zurich painter and poet Salomon Gessner. The show reconstructs Gessner’s cabinet, which comprises 20 gouaches and watercolours and laid the cornerstone for the Kunsthaus collection in the first half of the 19th century. An additional 50 pieces from the museum’s own collection and on loan from owners domestic and foreign round out the survey of Gessner’s oeuvre. ]]></description>

              <title><![CDATA[100 YEARS KUNSTHAUS ZÜRICH]]></title>
              <description><![CDATA[In 2010 the Kunsthaus Zürich will celebrate its hundredth anniversary. Switzerland’s oldest combined collection and exhibition space opened its doors in Karl Moser’s late Jugendstil museum building on the Heimplatz in 1910, and now, in honour of the centenary, the Kunsthaus will showcase its opulent collection, including many donations, and mount a major Picasso show in tribute to its tradition of key exhibitions. In 2015 the artistic idea of a dynamic museum for the 21st century will become reality, and the Zürcher Kunstgesellschaft’s success story, which owes its inception in 1787 to the initiative of local burghers, will have been continued in a further exciting chapter – the Kunsthaus extension.]]></description>

              <title><![CDATA[Exceptionally high quality and very solid sales at Art Basel Miami Beach 2009]]></title>
              <description><![CDATA[The eighth edition of Art Basel Miami Beach closed on Sunday, December 6, 2009. More than 250 galleries from North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa exhibited works by over 2,000 artists. With a program of special exhibitions, panel discussions, private collection tours, and events fea¬turing film, performance, and video, the show attracted 42,000 visitors. Visitors included art collectors, museum directors, curators and cultural journalists from all over the United States and the rest of the world.]]></description>
